The Dash locates climbs within your courses and displays additional information to help guide you through each climb. The climb page is enabled by default, but if you'd like to disable or enable this feature at any time, go to Settings > Dash settings > Maps and courses > Climb and choose from:
- All climbs: Display climb notifications and the climb page for climbs of all sizes (minimum ascent: 15 m or 50 ft).
- Medium and above: Display climb notifications for medium and large climbs (minimum ascent: 35 m or 115 ft).
- Large only: Display climb notifications for large climbs only (minimum ascent: 80 m or 262.5 ft).
- Disabled: Do not display climb notifications or the climb page.
Climb size is determined as a factor of both distance and ascent for each climb. The minimum distance for any climb is 400 meters or 0.25 miles with a minimum average gradient of 3%.
Requirements for this feature:
- Your Dash M200/L200 or M50/L50 is on firmware 3.3.0 or newer.
- You have a course loaded that includes elevation information. Courses can be imported from 3rd party applications via the Stages Cycling all or loaded via USB. See Adding a course in the Dash user manual.
Climb laps
The Dash can start a new lap at the start and the end of each climb. To enable or disable climb laps, go to Settings > Dash settings > Maps and courses > Climb laps.
